Charity Retail Forum: Slides available

It was terrific to welcome so many of our Charity Retail members to The Form Rooms for our inaugural Charity Retail Forum.

Attendees heard from:

  • Kris Hamer, Insights Director, on the major retail trends affecting the charity sector, including the growing opportunity for Preloved. Kris and his team also touched on consumer behaviours and macroeconomic trends shaping retail and their implications for charities.
  • Stephen Bethel, Corporate Affairs Director, with a deep dive into the BRC’s policy priorities and what they mean for the charity sector. Stephen shared an overview of the policy landscape, explaining how upcoming changes may affect charitable organisations and how they can navigate these shifts effectively.
  • Sophie De Salis & Naomi Brandon-Bravo, Sustainability Policy Advisers, outlining the growing circular economy and circular fashion movements, with a focus on sustainability and environmental impact. They discussed how these trends are reshaping the retail landscape, the challenges involved, and opportunities for charities to engage.
  • Vicki Young, Head of Learning, announcing 50% subsidised charity places at our various leadership development programs, tailored to elevate high-potential leaders in the charity sector.

We were delighted to have such rich engagement and positive feedback on the day, and will consider how best to deliver for this subset of members moving forward.

In the meantime, log in to download the presentations.
