Regulatory Watchouts for 2025

This document is a high-level summary of various UK Government activity for 2025 (including in the Devolved Governments) as of January 2025, prepared for our members to help with your planning for what might change over the coming months.

In it, we outline what is (or might be) happening, why it is important and what we – or our members – need to do next.

The BRC Community dealing with each area is highlighted in brackets in the right-hand column. Detail on the specifics of any activity can obtained from the BRC advisor responsible for the respective Community, or from any member of the wider team and on an ongoing basis via guidance on brc.org.uk and through forums, calls, newsletters and updates across our Communities.
