Today, the BRC has launched its manifesto for the retail industry - Accelerating Investment in the Everywhere Economy - ahead of this year's general election. You can download the manifesto from the bottom of this page. 

The manifesto sets out an exciting vision for the future of the industry and how the next government can maximise retail's already significant contribution to communities, customers and colleagues. 

Alongside the future vision, the manifesto includes a series of short policy briefings on priorities for retail, including business rates and Apprenticeship Levy reform, crime, the circular economy and net zero and planning policy.

It will form the basis of our engagement with the political parties ahead of this year's election - members will be kept up to date on opportunities for engagement through our Corporate Affairs Community - and has been shared with key contacts from the parties, backbenchers and Prospective Parliamentary Candidates.
