For review - Consultation responses on employment rights changes

Login to your BRC account to read our draft responses to the four consultations currently open on the Employment Rights Bill below, looking at:

  • Application of zero hours contracts measures to agency workers
  • Collective redundancy and fire and rehire
  • Creating a modern framework for industrial relations
  • Strengthening Statutory Sick Pay (this, exceptionally, closes on 4 December)

These responses have been informed with strong support from the HR Community, so I’d like to thank you all for your engagement and input.

We’re seeking final comments on the responses until COP on Thursday, 28 November, to ensure these are reflective of member’s views.

The final deadline for submissions is Monday, 2 December, which means we’ll have an extremely short period of time to incorporate comments, so please be mindful of that in your reflections and make sure to stick to the 28 November deadline.

Please treat the draft responses as confidential and don’t share them outside of your organisations – they are for members views only.
