Many shops are opening for longer hours than normal in the run up to Christmas so that customers can shop more comfortably and be surer that they can get what they want.

Now that the Government have confirmed that all retail can be open from 2 December - no matter what Tier it is in - retailers are redoubling efforts to make sure that they are as accessible as possible for shoppers.

This means that many retailers' stores will be open earlier and/or later than usual. Christmas is the busiest time of year for shops, and to make sure that everyone can be accommodated in light of social distancing rules, and because many haven't been able to buy what they want due to various lockdowns, retailers and shopping centres are working together to help them open for longer.

The BRC is collecting details of those retailers/shops that are opening for longer, and we will be adding to it in the coming days as more timings and retailers are confirmed.

If you're a retailer or retail landlord who wants to support this campaign, contact me using the details above.
